Budget carrier Virgin Blue has launched a new service to Australia’s Red Centre, linking Sydney with attractions such as Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and nearby Alice Springs.
The Virgin Blue Sydney to Uluru service departs daily at 10.10am, arriving at 1.20pm. The return service leaves Uluru at 2.00pm, arriving into Sydney at 5.30pm.
"Uluru is the heartland of Australian indigenous culture. Our range of fares … will ensure it not only becomes the must see destination for the international visitor, but more Australians will travel here too," Virgin Blue Executive Commercial, Liz Savage said.
Australia’s most famous landmark, Uluru, incorporates dramatic outback landscapes with the history and traditions of one of the world’s oldest cultures, the Anangu people.
Connecting flights are also available from a number of Australian destinations including Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth, as well as from international flights.
To visit Uluru or any other destination in Australia all international tourists must have an
Australian Travel Visa.
The most popular of these visas is the
ETA Visa, as is can be quickly and easily applied for online and allows the holder to enter Australia for up to three months.
