The Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve, on a vast expanse of land that mirrors the African savannah, has a unique experience for the brave-hearted.
The wildlife reserve is home to cheetahs, rhinos, tigers, pygmy hippos, spider monkeys and the largest pride of lions in Australasia.
The reserve is now offering two dining tours, a “breakfast and beasts” and a “dine on the edge option where visitors can eat breakfast or a gourmet meal amongst the lions.
The reserve is located 35 minutes drive west of Cairns and 9km from Kuranda.
To visit the Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve all visitors (unless they have an Australian or New Zealand passport) need to have an
Australian Travel Visa.
The most popular of these is the
ETA Visa which allows the holder to enter Australia for tourism purposes for up to three months. The ETA Visa is also easy to apply for online, and once approved is electronically attached to your passport.
